Date:  7/22/2010   Location: Shinnecock, N.Y.
Why Fluke fish the Long Island Sound, when you can limit out and throw back 24" fish? That's the norm. when you go out with Capt. Don Burch! Capt. Skip, Ron Krapf, and Don slayed the Fluke and Sea Bass, with Fluke ranging from 21"-28". Don was high hook with the 28" flattie,while Skip and Ron had 24-25" fish. By the end of our trip, we brought home some beautiful fish...Let's Eat Fellas!

Todays trip with Stan Harrison, daughters Chloe and Sasha, and Tad Shull with daughter Susanna was a fun Dads and Daughters day out! The crew started Porgy fishing, and all on board caught numerous fish. Chloe was high hook with a nice 16" porgy while Sasha landed a nice 3 1/2 lb. Sea Bass. Susanna, Tad and Stan weren't far behind, as all had fish! Then the crew changed gears and went Bass Fishing. Tad was high hook with a nice 34" Bass, while Stan landed a couple keeper Bass and a Bluefish. Nice job to everyone...Good Fishing!

2009 "Repeat Offenders" Hector, Doug and newbie Evan snagged dozens of Bunker while waiting out numerous pop-up t-storms. When the window of opportunity came, the crew shot out and Banged up numerous Bass on the troll to 34". After dark, the guys set up to bunker Chunk, and were treated to numerous run-offs! a few Blues and numerous Bass were boated to 36". Evan was high hook with a nice 36-37" Bass! Doug and Hector all had nice fish, with plenty of Bass fillets for dinner.

This afternoons trip with Phil, Mark, and "Idaho John" was a Bass slayfest! the crew started the day with a Bluefish, but the bite quickly urned to all Bass. All on board had fish from 26" throwbacks, to 36" 15 lb. fish. John was high hook with the most, and largest Bass. Mark and Phil weren't too far behind, as the rods were always bent. The crew limited out and had over a dozen returns!

The "Riverfest Duo", Scott and Craig Chiger were in town today for some Hot Bass Action, and were not Let down! The duo had numerous Bass and a few Bluefish on the AM bite. The crew kept 3 Bass to bring up for this weekends Riverfest eating frenzy! We had a fun day out on the water guys.

My Buddy Seth couldn't get enough yesterday, so we went out again and had his dad Al join us. The bite was alittle slow to start, but we managed 3 keeper Bass to 34", some shorts and a few Bluefish! We were done by 10:30, cleaned fish, and Seth was off to Kentucky with some iced down Bass fillets!

Long time friend Seth Huberman and I got together for some early morning Bass fishing,and we weren't dissapointed! The bite was red hot during the flood tide, which produced 8-10 Bass on the troll to 34". We then switched to jigging with light tackle, and had 7 more Bass. Seth was high hook with a beautiful 38" 20 lb. Bass! A photo was taken of the Bass and quickly released. 2 smaller Bass were kept for the dinner plate. Great fishing again with you Hubie!

Dr. Steve, Dr.Dennis and Mike went out for an evening of Bass Fishing, and the bite was on! The crew had over 8 Bass from 27"-36" on the troll and a few Blues and Bass chunking after dark. Mike was high hook with most fish, and largest Bass.

Let's finish the 4th of July weekend with a Bang! And that's just what Seth an crew did last night. The Boys started on the troll and got a 29" Bass. The crew then did some bunker snagging and live-lining, but didn't have much luck hooking up. Finally, after sunset we set up on a few chunking spots. The 2nd spot produced 4-5 big bluefish, then the Bass came in. Jon, Adam, Evan, Todd and Seth all had blues and Bass to 31", then Keith broke the scales with a beautiful 41" 27 lb. slob! What a fun night with a great crew!

4th of July morning trip with the Byrne Crew, had a slow but steady pick of Striped Bass...Danny had a few short Bass, then Mike and Noel managed a 28" and a nice 32" fish...All totaled, were 3 short and 2 keeper Bass!
